Greetings, I've been building and repairing fretted, musical instruments for the past 30 years 25 of which were spent in the service of Washburn, Gibson, Peavey, Parker, Dean and DBZ.
I've set up a small repair shop in Dunedin and have been doing repair work for The Player's School of Music, Musicology and a select group of local, national and international professional musicians.
I am currently open to adding new clients.
All work is priced by the job.
Minimum bench charge is $25.

There are many problems that string instruments can experience. If only one or two hairs have broken, simply pull or cut them off. This happens from time to time because the hair gets stressed out from playing, being put in the case incorrectly, or being pulled on. If hair is falling out more regularly, though, and is getting noticeably thinner, take the bow to a repairman. If you hear a piece of wood rolling around and rattling inside your instrument as you pick it up, look inside it. If there is a small, cylindrical piece of wood rolling around, it is your sound post. Do not play it; take it immediately for repairs. Thanks.
